Eating fish, and especially eating lots of fish regularly, is certainly not for everyone. Even if tuna is your favorite pizza, it won't be enough to cover your needs.
Omega-3 fatty acids are very important for our metabolism. They are a constituent of our cell membranes and help us to function. They are also necessary for the production of various tissue hormones. Studies show that omega-3 fatty acids boost the immune system and have an anti-inflammatory effect.
In addition, omega-3s, with their EPA and DHA fatty acids, support heart, brain and vision function.
Studies suggest that a higher intake of around 3 g total of a combination of EPA and DHA also has an influence on blood pressure and other blood parameters.
