Omega-3 fatty acids are of vital importance to our human metabolism. They are a constituent of our cell membranes, keeping our cell envelopes supple. According to the European Health Claims Regulation (HCVO), omega-3 fatty acids EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) support normal heart function, normal brain function and normal vision.
