- Enriched with ß-sitosterol and black garlic extract
- Studies suggest an impact on HDL and LDL cholesterol levels and on LDL oxidation
Presentation
High levels of cholesterol and lipids in the blood are one of the main risk factors for cardiovascular disease, and PEAK Life's new product may affect the cardiovascular system in a number of ways.
The bergamot extract contained is a citrus plant that was created by crossing the bitter orange with other citrus plants. Bergamot is very rich in polyphenols, which have numerous health benefits. These have a positive effect on cholesterol and blood lipid levels. Scientific studies show that citrus bergamot can reduce harmful LDL cholesterol levels by up to 36%, while increasing healthy HDL cholesterol levels by up to 40%. (1-2)
Citrus bergamot also appears to have antioxidant properties that may affect the oxidation of LDL cholesterol.
