An important fact about berberine is that it has unfortunately diminished bioavailability in its original form. To improve this, piperine from black pepper extract has been added to berberine. As a so-called "biostimulant" it is able to significantly improve the bioavailability and hence absorption of berberine. Berberine provides an impressive 300 mg of pure berberine hydrochloride per capsule from highly concentrated Berberis Aristata extract (50:1).
